Cardinal Numbers online

Cardinal Numbers Online

Cardinal numbers generally defined all the natural numbers in mathematics. Cardinality notation was formulated by George Cantor. The cardinality of finite set is real number. The number of items or elements in the set is called cardinality of set.

Cardinality is defined as bijective functions. Two sets have a same cardinal number then if and only if there is bijection between both functions. If the sets are infinte cardinal the set behave like multifaceted(complex) number.

Normally a cardinal is referred to the number of count. Zero also includes in the number of count.

The set A has a finite number of elements then, its defined n(A).

Example -  Find the cardinality of set A = 1, 3, 5, 6, 9

n(A) = 5

The cardinality of infinte set are defined as,

x1 < x2 < x3 < ....

Here 'x' is referred as cardinality of real number.

Cardinal numbers Online Examples

Examples for cardinal numbers:

Example 1 – Cardinal Numbers Online

Write the cardinal for following (0, 1, 6, 12, 21, 58 and 112)

Solution:

0 – Zero or Nothing

1 – One

6 – Six

12 – Twelve

21 – Twenty-five

58 – Fifty - eight

Hint: When we write the cardinal of number. we should follow this condition. Which is not end with zero(0) then if a natural number starts from 21 to 99, then write cardinal value of number by splitting of words with the help of hyphen symbol.

112 – hundred and twelve

Hint: If a number above from 100 and so on and it’s not end with ‘00’ then write the words of number to split with ‘and’ word.

Example 2 – Cardinal Numbers Online

Write the cardinal numbers for following set as (101, 1001, 100001, 10000001, and 10000000001)

Solution:

101 – One hundred and one

1001 – One thousand and one

10001 – Ten thousand and one

1000001 – One million and one

1000000001 – One billion and one

Example 3 – Cardinal Numbers Online

Write the following fractions as cardinals (4, 2 ½, 1, 1 1/4)

Solution:

4    - The cardinal is 'Four'

2 `1/2` - The cardinal is 'Two and a half'

1    - The cardinal is 'One'

1 `1/4` - The cardinal is 'One and a quarter'

Example 4 – Cardinal Numbers Online

Write the following decimals as cardinals (6.03, 7.9)

Solution:

6.03 – Six point naught three

7.9   – Seven point nine

Example 5 – Cardinal Numbers Online

List out the cardinals from the following sentences:

One day i was swimming in the river, in front of me two fish are playing and five girls are swimming. That time the fish was bitten to two girls. So they were shouted.

Solution:

One day i was swimming in the river, in front of me two fish are playing and five girls are swimming. That time one fish was bitten to two girls. So they were shouted. Is this topic onlinecalculus tutor hard for you? Watch out for my coming posts.
