Learning Math with fun

Introduction:

Measure the variable by a number is known as quantitative variable. The numeric values are considered as variable. Quantitative variables are values, interval sequence and ratio scales. The examples of quantitative variable are age, height, temperature and weight. The categorical variables are to distinguish the quantitative variable like city of birth, color, favorite song.

Types of quantitative variable:

Distributions of quantitative variables are known by histogram, dot plots, box plots and scatter plots. Quantitative variables are continuous and discrete variables.

Discrete quantitative variables:

It is the variable that is finite number of values are taken. In discrete, some quantitative variables only discrete. Do you know what is variable margin. This is considered in practical purpose as continuous. Discrete variable has only particular point. It should be in number.

Continuous variables:

Certain range of value is used. Example of continuous variable is time and distance. It is considered as second type of variable.Ratio scale or Ordinal is used to measure the examples of quantitative data. The true zero is not in ordinal scale. Look here for math help here. So quantitative variables does not from multiplicative relationship. Similarly, multiplicative relationships are captured .
